Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has officially released the recruitment notification (Advt. No. 05/2026) for Primary Assistant Teacher (PRT) positions across the state. A total of 12,405 vacancies are available under this recruitment drive.

🏫 Post-Wise Details & Eligibility Criteria

The recruitment is divided into two major categories of posts:

1. Assistant Teacher (Primary Schools - Urban Area)

 * Total Posts: 11,508 Posts

 * Age Limit: 21 to 40 years (Age calculated as on 1 July 2026; category-based age relaxations applicable for UP reserved categories)

 * Eligibility Criteria:

   * Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognized university.

   * 2-Year BTC / D.El.Ed / Special D.El.Ed OR 4-Year B.El.Ed.

   * Must have passed the Primary Level Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET Paper-I or CTET Paper-I).

2. Assistant Teacher (Sambaddh / Attached Primary Schools)

 * Total Posts: 897 Posts (Includes positions across boys' and girls' aided secondary schools)

 * Age Limit: Minimum 21 years.

 * Eligibility Criteria:

   * Graduation Degree from a recognized university.

   * B.T.C. / D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed / Special D.El.Ed from an NCTE-recognized institution.

   * Must have successfully passed UPTET or CTET (Paper-I for Classes 1 to 5).

 * Complete your One-Time Registration (OTR) if not already registered.

 * Log in, select Advt. No. 05/2026, and fill out the application form carefully.
